Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services
Psychosocial Rehabilitation services (PSR) are Rehabilitative Mental Health (RMH) interventions designed to reduce psychosocial dysfunction and restore recipients to their highest level of functioning. To reach this level, HEARTS WITH HELPING HANDS provides the following interventions: behavior management, social competency, problem identification & resolution, effective communication, moral reasoning, identity & emotional intimacy, self-sufficiency, life goals and sense of humor.
Basic Skills Training
Basic Skills Training (BST) services are Rehabilitative Mental Health (RMH) interventions designed to reduce cognitive and behavioral impairments and restore recipients to their highest level of functioning. BST services are provided to recipients with age and developmentally inappropriate cognitive and behavioral skills. HEARTS WITH HELPING HANDS will help recipients acquire constructive and behavioral skills through positive reinforcement, modeling and other training techniques.
Day Treatment Services
The overriding goal is to give recipients an opportunity to experience success in a social setting in an effort to shift the individual’s current paradigm to a more positive, productive and functional model. The program is all-inclusive, including therapeutic, BST and PSR services designed for adolescents and adults in separate group settings.
Referral Services
Medication Management
The medication management referral program is designed to help clients maintain their medications and to understand their importance as it relates to their treatment.
Transitional Living & Board and Care
HEARTS WITH HELPING HANDS works with agencies throughout the community that provide transitional living as well as board and care for clients who may be in need of such services.
